Six flooring families, one booth, and a deadline. Here is how we actually decide, in the order the decisions matter.
Most people pick booth flooring by looking at colors. That is the last decision, not the first. Four questions come before it, and once you answer them the product picks itself.
How long is the floor down? Three days is a different product than three weeks. A short show rewards the lightest, fastest floor you can get away with. A multi-week activation with daily traffic punishes it.
Who walks on it? Aisles and open exhibit floors take far more abuse than the inside of a twenty-by-twenty booth. Same show, same building, completely different wear.
Does it have to photograph? If cameras are coming, or the space is a VIP room or a lounge, the floor is in every shot. Surface texture and how it takes light matter more than they do in a working aisle.
What happens to it on Thursday night? If you need the floor reclaimed and documented rather than dumpstered, that narrows the field immediately — and it has to be arranged before the show, not after.
Recycled Event Carpet is our rPET line, built specifically to replace synthetic turf on event floors. It starts as recycled PET bottles, it is made in the USA, and it gives you the upgraded turf look at a similar price point.
The weaves cover most of what a show floor needs: Exclusive Lines in 6 colors across weaves, Diamond as the signature turf-substitute weave in 5 core colors, Basket Weave in a textured finish with 5 colors, and Medium Weight as the lightest option in 6 colors when load-in speed matters most.
Where it wins is the end of the story. After your event, 80 percent of it is recycled back into new carpet for future events, and the remaining 20 percent is replaced with new recycled PET bottles. Most turf products cannot offer a genuine end-of-life path at all.
Pick it when: you want the turf look, you care about the recycling story, or somebody is going to ask what happened to the flooring.
Sometimes the look has to be actual turf: a putting green in a hospitality suite, a lawn game area, a landscaped patio. For that we carry 31 artificial turf grass styles across lawn and landscape, putting and golf, and batting cage and agility, most in 15-foot widths, with team and brand colors available. It is a different product from Recycled Event Carpet — taller pile, a true grass feel — and it is the right call when the grass is part of the experience rather than just the color of the floor.
Pick it when: people are going to putt on it, play on it, or stand on it for the photo.
When you are covering serious square footage, this is the family. All of it is 100% polypropylene, all of it is cut to your size, and all of it comes back to us at strike to be reprocessed into injection-molded parts instead of landfilled. Roughly ninety percent of what we lay comes back — the ten percent we lose is seam lines and step wraps.
Fine Lines is the ribbed flat carpet, 42 colors, the widest palette we carry and one of the most budget-friendly floors we sell. The fine rib hides traffic and hoses off, which is exactly what you want in aisles, halls and big exhibit footprints. It is also the only line where we do custom color.
Smooth Operator is the same idea with no ribs at all — flat, smooth, lightweight, the value pick for big square footage and a clean uninterrupted look. Front Row is its double-weight upgrade, and that is the one for VIP rooms, lounges and anywhere the cameras go.
Pick it when: square footage is large, budget is real, and the floor needs to look clean rather than luxurious.
Our loop and pile collections run 82 colors across four collections, built on everSTRAND recycled fiber, with the heavier Renovate line when the fiber needs to be stronger. Every collection ships Made in USA. A 20 oz pile reads as a finished room rather than a covered slab, which matters in hospitality spaces and longer activations.
Pick it when: the space is a room people linger in, not a floor people cross.
Sometimes the booth needs a hard surface: food and beverage, anything with wheels, wet weather load-in, or a design that calls for wood.
PureTech LVP is PVC-free with a renewable organic core, waterproof and scratch resistant, 70 percent total recycled content, American made and tariff-free. It goes down as planks, so it handles a wood look convincingly in a way printed carpet never will.
Rolled vinyl is eight collections with wear layers from 45 to 120 mil, made in the USA, and it is what we put in clubhouses, hospitality tents and multi-week activations. Heavier wear layer, fewer seams, faster to clean than plank.
Pick it when: there is food, water, wheels or weeks involved. Understand going in that hard surface costs more per square foot than event carpet and takes longer to install.
Lead time. Our event carpet lines run a four-week lead time. Color decisions made three weeks out get made from what is in stock, which is a much shorter list.
Removal is part of the product. If nobody plans the pull, the floor goes in a dumpster regardless of what it was made of. Recyclability on the spec sheet is not recycling. We wrote about what actually happens to event carpet after the show if you want the process.
Send us the square footage, the dates and the city. We will tell you which floor we would put down and why — installed nationwide out of Baton Rouge, Nashville and Orlando.
It depends on four things: how long the floor is down, how much traffic it takes, whether it has to photograph well, and whether it has to be reclaimed afterward. For a short show on a budget, ribbed or flat event carpet is usually right. For a turf look with a genuine recycling path, Recycled Event Carpet. For food, water, wheels or a multi-week run, vinyl plank or rolled vinyl.
Recycled Event Carpet was built specifically to replace synthetic turf on event floors. It gives the same upgraded look at a similar price point, and unlike most turf products it has a real end-of-life path: 80 percent goes back into new carpet after the event, with the remaining 20 percent replaced by new recycled PET bottles.
Use a hard surface when there is food and beverage, wheeled traffic, wet weather load-in, or a design that calls for a wood look, and when the floor is down for weeks rather than days. Use carpet when you are covering large square footage on an event budget. Hard surface costs more per square foot and takes longer to install.
Our event carpet lines run a four-week lead time. Inside that window you are choosing from what is in stock, which is a much shorter color list, so lock the color early if a specific shade matters.
Custom color is available on Fine Lines, which already carries 42 colors. Screens shift color, so match against a physical reference rather than a monitor before you commit.
